Sounds Like
...Lots of tempo changes that vary between many extreme ideas and musical styles and mutations allied with such genres as death metal, grindcore, sludge/doom metal, industrial/noise and extreme music in general. Blistering grind, blast beats accent slow sabbathy riffs and mid-paced death grooves with original and schizophrenically varying vocals that give the eye to the storm.
Southern Indiana Death, Grind, Sludge Metal!
Formed with a desire to play extreme fast and heavy music along side other predeath (extremes of Thrash & Hardcore) bands like Autopsy, Napalm Death, Voi Vod, Disrupt, Sore Throat, Celtic Frost, & Repulsion. Fueled by alcohol and a love of extreme metal the band added elements of Black Sabbath giving their grind and death sound, a doom edge. With lyrics mixing Thelema, Chaos, and other Occult topics with political and social ideas. After several years of trying to keep a line up together The Path recorded their first cd in 1998 (CRIMES OF THOUGHT AND PASSION). As soon as the cd was recorded and a few shows were played the line up split.
Once again leaving the two founding members Travis and Jerome to start from scratch.
This led to Travis taking over both guitar and bass duties, and the band adding Larry Lewis on drums. The band stayed as a three piece long enough to play a few shows, record a track (Drunken Rage) for Menace To Sobriety's I Drank To Be A Asshole comp, and record their half of a split cd (As Beasts In The Field). After the recording before the cd was even mixed Larry Lewis quit the band. This led to the band Taking a long break.
In 2004 the band reformed with Bruce Kilmer on drums, Josh Sutton on guitar, Travis on guitar and bass, and Jerome on Vocals, to record Give It Back for the Disrupt tribute compilation. Soon Josh quit, Bruce went to school, and was replaced by Scott Jerger in early 2005.
In 2006 four new tracks were recorded as a three piece once again. Two of these tracks American and Frozen, along with 2 older track were used for The Path, Castigation (Indonesia) split CD released by MIAW Dec of 2007.
Scott Wildridge joined the band on guitar in mid 2006 and as a four piece the band was able to play live again for the first time since 2003. 2007 was full of live shows including shows with Macabra, Mortal Decay, Abominant, Lividity, Origin, Insidious Decrepancy and many great metal bands.
A live rehearsal tape , with both old and new tracks was recorded to be given away for free with Embrace The Void zine issue 2 (CZ). These were the first tracks to be recorded and mixed by new Path guitarist Scott Wildridge. Early 2008 saw the band record three more tracks, two new tracks (Stacking Pigs to the Sky & Other) and a Fear Of Gods cover for a split 45 with Brazilian crust, D-beat band Diskontroll. These tracks were also recordered and mixed Scott Wildridge with help from the other members.
Thanks for the comment yes heavier and faster unlike what the other members of cxa did after i.e. Helmet Quicksand etc. Thanks for the support on that! Hails to you!

My groovy Asshairs are a group of my cool friends that stuck with me during my dark days. I only cal my good buds "Asshairs". Everyone else gets offended when I call em that.
I think Axl Rose is the only original member as well. So it's basically Axl's new project with the same name as his old band.
I heard two songs off of it, and so far I have heard no redeeming qualities to it. It just sounds like someone raping a cat on top of distorted guitars and some bad drum programming.
Yet who is gracing the front page of myspace and raping my ears everytime I turn on the rock station? Ugh!
