With a common love of 1960's garage bands such as Barry & the Remains and the Sonics, the TVees are part of a growing resurgence of the PACIFIC NORTHWEST garage scene. The TVees are all about making people get up and dance and bringing real rock 'N' roll back to the people.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE TVEES:
"This trio captures the spark and young-man rebellion and go-go dancing of the good mid 60's (and mid 50's) without sounding like they're trying to, which is a rare and nigh-impossible feat.
...Imagine the Kinks, Chuck Berry and the Sonics dressed in their spiffiest...and finger banging a school bus."
- Dave Bertrand, Skinny Magazine
"The TVees. Pure, Canadian, Westcoast Garage."
-Baron S. Cameron (The Aging Rockstar)
"...The TVees ordered us all to get up and dance and damn did we ever! This was the first time I'd seen The TVees and they put on a wicked set of fast, catchy, Costello-esque rock. They've only been together for less than six months so catch them now before they make it big in Japan."
-Janelle Pramberg (Mongrel Magazine)
"The bouncy bass rhythms and bright catchy hooks kicked me ass-backwards about three decades, back to an age when mushroom haircuts were all the rage and everyone dressed like a prep school bookstore clerk. It was just the kind of thing to get us all moving. Easily one of the best indie live acts Vancouver has to offer, and immediately approachable, meaning they’re just as likely to get your mom all hot and bothered as they are your sister in junior high."
-Benjamin Luk (www.thatrockblog.com)
...." The TVees are undoubtedly one of the best bands that our (vancouver) garage scene has to offer and they continue to prove it everytime they play. They slayed at the Media Club that Saturday early evening. Kyle McQueen played the shit out of his guitar, while singing fast, sexy 60's sounding songs like "MY BABY"."
....."Hello Vancouver, this is one of your best bands, and the CD is a must have for your house parties!"

ALBUM REVIEWS:
Exclaim! Magazine
"Vancouver garage trio the TVees prove to be something special on their excellent self-titled debut. Throughout the album's nine songs, the band demonstrate a keen knack for timeless garage jams via vintage distortion, a shuffling rhythm section and front-man Kyle McQueen's impossibly soulful singing. From straight-up rockers like "Twist My Arm" and closer "The Bright Side" through brief departures like the melodic bridge on "One and Only," the band demonstrate a ton of ideas within their very specific genre. Sure, this could fit on a mixtape with modern acts like the Black Lips or the Strange Boys but on their debut full-length, the TVees show a timeless purity that puts them more on par with the Sonics and the Kinks." Razorcake Magazine
The TVees are trying to recapture the sound of early 1960s garage rock. Most of the garage punk bands of today are influenced by those older sounds, but still show hints of influence from the punk rock that followed. Not so with The TVees, who convincingly sound like the soundtrack for an old exploitation film. While still firmly a gimmick band, this is a very rocking, very genuine release. It’s making me want to don funny pants and pretend like it is 1967.(Trendsetter)

Maximum RockNRoll Magazine
Raw '60s garage that wears its retro-loving heart firmly on its well-tailored sleeves. It's got the flicks, it's got the kicks, and enough hooks to fill up an Olympic sized swimming pool. A nod and a wink to my faves THE KINKS sprinkled with another of the greats THE PRETTY THINGS. Enough raw punk energy and excellent songwriting keep this one well above the average retro worshipping crowd. Stick alongside THE MOJOMATICS and THE SETTING SON as the new leaders of '60s-inspired garage rock. Excellent. (SD)(Trendsetter)
