The Tyrones are a living mosaic of musical influences that include blues, rhythm and blues, soul, rock, country, and jazz. They are a contemporary blues band with a resume that includes opening for music legends Tower of Power, The Monkees, and REO Speed Wagon. Their rock-n-roll, blues, jazz, R&B, and soul influences include, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Delbert McClinton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Sam and Dave, Roy Buchanan, James Burton, Robert Johnson, Buddy Rich, Elvis, and John Hiatt just to name a very few.
Their two CD releases Witness to the Blues and Midas Touch (the 2002 OMA AWARD for Album of the Year) are composed of all original works and come straight from the soul! So from the land of Levon Helm, Ronnie Hawkins, and the Cate Brothers, welcome to our space. Hope you like it!
