The Ugly Club is a diverse and ever-growing project of musical ideas and stylings. Founded by Ryan Egan, Taylor Mandel, Ryan Mcnulty, and Michael Sue-Poi, the group immediately began collaborating on song writing and arranging, bringing together unique musicality and songwriting styles to create a refreshing form of Indie-rock Soul. Think: Ray Charles meets Weezer meets The Beatles! Bringing together NJ trombone player Walter Wagner and bassist Adam Swider, the Ugly Club has really tapped into a beautifully, original sound. Within less than a year the group has self produced & released their debut EP, "Sing What You Want", opened venues such as Starland Ballroom & The Stone Pony, shared the stage with artists like Sharon Jones & Third Eye Blind, and continues to build their buzz all throughout the tri-state area.
