[GB-USA-AUS] The U-Goes are a project born in September 2005, when Roberto and Massimiliano asked Giacomo to join them in an indie-rock band. After a few weeks with a different singer, all three of them asked Stefano to be the lead voice in the band. So they gave birth to Feed Rock Add Noise Catch Applauses (yeah, we know it’s a very long name, but is bloody cool). They began to perform gigs around, and In June 2006 they had access to a national contest in Simeri, Calabria, which took place in September. Then they recorded their first demo, “Never Heard About Them!”. After that, they changed their sound completely, thanks to new ideas and the new entry Hendrick (also called Tausli). They also changed their name in The U-Goes. After some shows, they won a battle of the bands from their town in June 2007. The U-Goes have ultimated the recording of their last demo “Departures” in October 2007, and in December they released it. You can listen it here. Nowadays, The U-Goes are spread in the beautiful landscapes of the centre of Italy for study reasons, but they keep on writing new stuff and performing gigs.
[ITA] Il progetto The U-Goes è nato nel Settembre 2005, quando Roberto e Massimiliano proposero a Giacomo di unirsi a loro in una indie-rock band. Dopo alcune settimane con una diversa cantante, loro tre chiesero a Stefano di essere la voce principale del gruppo. Diedero così alla luce i Feed Rock Add Noise Catch Applauses (sì, sappiamo che è un nome davvero lungo, ma maledettamente figo). Cominciarono a suonare dal vivo nella loro città e nei dintorni, e nel Giugno 2006 ebbero accesso ad un concorso nazionale a Simeri, Calabria, che ebbe luogo in Settembre. Quindi registrarono il loro primo demo, “Never Heard About Them!”. Dopo ciò, hanno cambiato completamente le loro sonorità, grazie a nuove idee e alla new-entry Hendrick (altrimenti detto Tausli). Hanno inoltre cambiato il loro nome in The U-Goes. Dopo alcuni show, hanno vinto una battaglia delle band (Giornata Dell’Arte) della loro città nel Giugno 2007. I The U-Goes hanno ultimato la registrazione dell’ultimo demo “Departures” nell’Ottobre 2007, e in Dicembre lo hanno pubblicato. Potete ascoltarlo qui. Oggigiorno, i The U-Goes sono sparsi tra gli ameni paesaggi del centro Italia, ma continuano a scrivere nuove canzoni ed a suonare dal vivo.
