About me:
The UGS is an online music community based in Scotland which covers Scottish and the rest of the UK's independent music scene(s) and helping artists promote themselves and their music.
We are aiming to create a music community which encompases Scotland primarily but which also stretches out to cover the rest of the UK and further afield.
We strive to meet this goal by providing a location where people can contribute in many ways by writing reviews, submitting news articles, artist profiles and generally creating a gateway to the UK's unsigned or independent music community.

Who I'd like to meet:
We'd like to meet anyone with an interest in local music and independent artists. We'd like to meet people with an active role in their local music community be it through promotion, putting on gigs, workshops, education and distros.

We are also looking for content for review. We've gathered a team of dedicated reviews to the site and we are eager to hear from you if you have new or old music that you'd like us to review.

We're always on the look out for new and experienced bands that might want to be featured on the website. All our reviews, features and interviews are included in our monthly newsletter mail-outs.
