Running off-road is a special thing. Running the Ultimate XC running series is magic. We have reached full capacity in our Jay edition of the series. We will consequently allow only 600 runners between the full marathon and the 1/2 marathon next July in Jay, Vermont. Registration for the Jay Edition will open on January 1st 2008 with 400 spot for the full and 200 for the 1/2.
2008 will be a very exiting year since we will hold two new events in the series.
The first one will be an event in Quebec. It is my pleasure to introduce the Québec Edition in June 2008. If you love rugged trails and want a dose of another culture, this is the race for you. The race will take place the weekend before Saint-Jean Batiste which is a national holiday in Quebec. Be ready for a serious party afterwards.
The second part of the very exiting news is that we will hold an event in November in the desert of Moab, Utah on November 15th 2008. It has developed an international reputation for its mountain biking, we will introduce a 50Km, a 1/2 marathon as well as a 10km off-road in our Moab Edition.
The course will be set by World class athlete Danelle Balengee.
The Ultimate XC running series will continue to be innovative by introducing new events and constantly re-defining trail running by bringing you where you would not dare run before.
Read carefully before getting involved in a race. Our only way of communication with our athletes prior to a race is via our FORUM on this web site. If we warn you about the difficulty of a race, take this seriously; this is not a gimmick or hype we are trying to create. We don't have too.
In 2007, participants came from 34 different states and 3 different countries. As our expansion plans continue to unfold, we will continue to introduce wild and exclusive races in exotic areas. Who knows perhaps our next stop might be Baffin Island.

Hi there thanks for the add i see you have a cross country pasion so do i but in two wheels both discipline have it's thrills,adventure,challenging and suffering i like Mountain Bike Racing and my daughter are MTN BIKER too but one day i gonna try to do it on foot then i tell u how it feels...well take care and keep on running....yessss!!!
