Influences
Oh Fuck where to begin...Our parents, Black Sabbath, Exodus, Venom, Led Zeppelin, OZZY(with Randy Rhoads!), Laaz Rockit, AC/DC, R.K.L., D.R.I., C.C.R., Poison Idea, Rush, Victims Family, Bad Brains, Eric Clapton, CREAM, Fang, Our steamroller, Slayer, Dr.Know, OLD Metallica(before bob rock owned their balls), The Melvins, Muddy Waters, Ramones, both Maleficia, and Sordid Behavior, DOG, L.S.D.25 with Peekaboo, LOTS OF GOOD GANJA!!!!! ETC.ETC.ETC.ON AND ON AND ON FLOWING AND EVER CHANGING!
The Beginning.......It's sometime back in 1982 or 83, Sean Samples-Vocals, Steve Roderick-Bass, O.G. member Kyle Straight(anything but)-Guitar and NO FUCKIN DRUMMER formed MALEFICIA.(Kyle later rejoined THE UNCALLED 4 making them THE UNCALLED 4+1). Then Steve's mom get's him this Gibson S.G. guitar at a yard sale..."is it any good?" she says, LOLOLOLOLOL.So he took up the guitar also along with Kyle leaving them with no bassist.Soon George says "fuck, I want to be in the band!" so Steve said, I'm sure with their lack of a bass player problem in mind, "Here learn to play bass".And learn George did! So then it was Sean Samples-vocals, Steve Roderick-guitar, Kyle Straight-guitar, and George Astin-bass......STILL NO FUCKIN DRUMMER!!!! This line up remained together for a while learning to work together as a band and write music. They wrote the song "Born Dead".Then they changed the name to SORDID BEHAVIOR and recruited Tim ??????(sorry dude, too much weed & vitamin L I guess)-Drums and wrote the song "Dog!" .FINALLY, A DRUMMER!!! Now things would start to happen for the band........right? Then Sean Samples quit the band because everyone wanted the topic of the next song written to be about a nuclear holocaust and he thought this was too trendy. The rest of the band must have eventually come to the same conclusion also because even after Sean Samples left the band, their next song evidently WAS NOT a damn nuclear bomb song. Then a few years later Steve saw Sean at a New Years Eve party and asked him if he would sing for the new band he was putting together and Sean said fuck yes he would! This band was The Uncalled 4!!!! The line up was, Sean Samples-Vocals, Steve Roderick-Guitars, George Astin-Bass, Jake Lipman-Drums.Jake was soon replaced by, at that time bass player for Sacrilege B.C., Sean Smithson who had come to one of their practices and told them they needed a drummer who hit harder, They agreed, "but who, there are no drummers available?" they said. After helping them look for a drummer in frustration for a while Sean Smithson said "I'll do it till you guys find one but I don't have a drum set" they said " but your not a drummer, your a bassist", Sean said "trust me, just get a drum set".Well Sean Samples' dad just happened to have a friend who had an old Gretch drum set he'd sell for $85! What a piece of shit, but it did the job!!! And so did Sean, like a mother fucker!!! So then it was Sean Samples-Vocals, Sean Smithson-Drums, Steve Roderick-Guitars, George Astin-Bass S.S.S.G.!!!!!!!!!! Their first show was at The Rock On Broadway in San Francisco on January 24th 1986(was it 86?)booked by Paul Baloff of EXODUS! They recorded their demos "This Is My Home!" and "Dusty Leftovers" on November 12th 1987 at the Gilman Street Project in Berkeley California for $25

I seem to remember (barely) being the other band member in the spinning truck. One thing for sure, no one uttered a sound until we came to rest, ass end first in the snowdrift!
Remember pulling into that restuarant and sitting there, football on the tv, fire in the fireplace, looking at each other going "Are we in heaven?"
Fuckin Chuckie kissed me on the lips that trip! He almost didnt make it back alive...
Famous words on the frozen roof top from Steve Delong when Chuckie was standing at the edge:
Dude that trip to Reno was the shit!!!!
I forgot about the back of Steve's truck with the tarp flapping in the wind.Man we were fucked up!!!
The HUGE 4 in the middle of the road and Steve spinning around and around in the middle of the freeway on the way home!! Remember that hooker in a leather mini skirt walking down the street in the fuckin blizzard???LOLOLOLOLOLOL
CRAZY FUCKIN BITCH!!!!!!
DAMN, what a trip that was!!!!!!
