Undead Monkey began as an internet band. We met online and the "band" came together under Gymshoes' Undead Monkey band name in August 2006. For the next year and a half we had an ever-changing loose collective of band members from all over the US recording tracks individually and collaborating online until finally the internet band started winding down in late 2007. The final line-up of the internet version of the band disbanded in early 2008. In 2008 Gymshoes---the band's founder and primary songwriter---began forming a new live Undead Monkey with local musicians. Further developments will be noted here and on the ..Undead Monkey website.

Undead Monkey began as an internet band. We met online and the "band" came together under Gymshoes' Undead Monkey band name in August 2006.
