The underdogs are a rockin' band based out of Destin, FL specializing in original bluesy roots music & funky arrangements of vintage blues classics. Always crowd-pleasers, the underdogs are known for their potent delivery and eclectic stage presence, served up with a healthy dose of big fun & a dry sense of humor. Since the release of Unleashed, the underdogs have been fortunate enough to have garnered broadcast radio airplay and rave reviews from around the world. Unleashed, was named one of the Top 25 blues CDs of 1999 in Queensland, Australia. During the summer of 2001, Dog Tales, the band's second record, broke into the Top 100 on the national Americana radio charts. In addition, the underdogs' music has been licensed by ESPN for use during coverage of Nascar from Daytona, featured prominently in actor/playwright Thom Gossom's one-man-play, Speak of Me as I Am and most recently heard in the soundtrack for the movie Quest for the Holy Ale. The dogs have shared the stage with many great artists over the years including Ritchie Havens, R.L. They perform in festivals & honky-tonks along the gulf coast and way beyond.
