About "The Unheard"
Detroit has been dubbed the rock capital by artists, fans and critics alike. At the top of its music scene, turning heads and captivating audiences is The Unheard.
They emerge from just outside of Detroit with a sound that is riff induced and vocally charged that captivates from the ring of the very first chord. The Unheard is Kenny Allen, Wally Filipiak and Steve Zornes.
The band is all about the live show with unmatched attitude and charisma comparable to Led Zeppelin.
“I’ve seen you guys this past year a few times and you guys are blowing people off the stage. If you haven't yet, you gotta see these guys, they're one of the best bands in Detroit!"-Doug Podell (Program Director WRIF Radio)
The Unheard has packed and continues to sell out some of Detroit area's biggest non-arena venues; The Emerald Theater, Hard Rock Cafe, Royal Oak Music Theatre, The State Theatre, and Freedom Hill. They have also opened for national acts including Sponge, Crud, Saliva and 7 Mary 3 and have won over audiences all over the midwest with their undeniable hit songs -- comparable to Nickelback, Three Doors Down, Audioslave, Shinedown and Velvet Revolver.
Their songs are versatile; No attention and Seduce are heavy and driving and Let Me Go is a southern rock reflection on life. Self proclaimed hits like I’ve Been Unknown and Helpless, produced with Tim Krukowski of Sponge, are songs that any listener could connect with. They are radio ready and in rotation on Detroits top radio station, 101.1 WRIF, as well as many college and internet radio stations with overwhelming response and requests.
"[The Unheard] is quickly vying for a spot near the top of the area's hard rock scene," -Steve Byrne (Detroit Free Press)
It's not a surprise that The Unheard is at the top of Detroit's hard rock scene with more than 80,000 website hits, 25,000+ listens, 6,000 song downloads and 4,000 cds sold in just the last couple years. When you put songs that could top the rock charts with a live show to match there is no doubt that The Unheard will be heard.

Hey fellas, if you are free, on July 18, 2008, at the Magic Bag, we are celebrating the life and music of former local musician, Cliff Brown, who left us much too early. Should be quite a night.
