About me:

I am known as Mermaid, or Paulette Perlman "Artist of Whimsey", in my artwork, I paint, use ceramics or recycled items, or even write! I like to use whatever interesting materials that come across my art table and that will help me make someone smile everyday. I started my journey doing printmaking & bookmaking in college in California. Eventually it became time to venture out so I started traveling the country in my Mermaid Mobile, were I found Panama City, FL and a great community of artists who helped paint my beautiful van. I have a large house in Panama City, so a year ago I decided to open my home as a salon gallery, with themed shows every month, featured artists, classes and an opening every first Friday of the month. The gallery has a bed and breakfast and artists retreat called the Bed and Bagel. The space comes complete with a one bedroom Petment that sleeps four, an extra large tub with candles, wireless internet and art lessons if you want. The gallery is open by appointment only so call or e-mail before you stop by and reservations are needed for the art retreat space. relax in this comfortable living room, complete with wireless internet if you need to stay connected.

Who I'd like to meet:

People who like to travel and People who like art. Ok its true I like meeting new poeple so if you are in the panhandle of northwest Florida, make an appointment and stop by for a new kind of travel experience. This images is a part of a Mermaid Mobile series that I did for a gallery opening at the Art Coop in Panama City, FL in July 2007 Houston Art Car Parade, May 2008. Over 50 artists and friends have painted on the Mermaid Mobile I am working to get 100
