The Unstable Tables
The Unstable Tables are Patrick Snape, Lead vocals and guitar, Ian Briedis, Lead guitar and second vocals, Kurt Curtis, bass, and Declan Stewart, drums and backing vocals.
The Unstable Tables have been igniting and exciting audiences on the Northeast Music scene for over two years, dominating venues such as Newcastle 02 Academy, The Cluny and Head of Steam with their potent combination of muscular rhythms, infectious choruses and catchy hooks.
Songwriter Patrick Snape draws inspiration from a variety of sources which include movies, books, news reports, snatches of conversation and phrases overheard in coffee shops and shopping malls. Diverse characters from history and culture populate many songs; Stephen Hawkin, Robin Hood, Karl Marx. But as well as satirical comments on the celebrity and political worlds there is also the deeply personal commentary on the politics of love and relationships.
The songs are honed and crafted by the band, the chemistry of the four musicians creating a distinctive sound drawing on styles both contemporary and classic.
There is a wide arc of appeal to the Unstable Tables that crosses age, class and culture. In an unstable world they provide an energetic, passionate and ironic reflection on modern life.
