The Upright Animals have been writing and performing music together since they formed in October of 2005. Their tight musicianship originates from brotherhood. The band consists of brothers Jim Peters and Ben Peters on guitars, and their step-brother Jamie Irwin on vocals. Bassist, Andy Prinster and drummer, Marko Oyarzabal have also helped shape and evolve this five-piece rock band into one of St. Louis's must see acts. The dynamic talents of each member combines to create a refreshing rock sound with "expansive rock & roll, arena-sized riffs and larger-than-life drums to fill up the room."
The Upright Animals released their latest EP, "Carnivore City," in early 2009. The album was recorded and mixed by Vance Powell{ the white stripes} at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN. This six song EP has been long awaited since their previous release of "Scams" in September of 2006.
