Bio
The Urbane is a four-piece band from Reading, comprising John Mitchell (singer and guitarist for It Bites, KINO, and guitarist for Arena) on lead vocals and guitar, Martin Raggett on bass guitar, Paddy Darlington on keyboards, and Scooby on drums - with Bob Dalton of It Bites fame drumming for several gigs..... Their first album, 'Neon' received critical acclaim upon its release in 1999, and their second offering 'Glitter' released in 2004 has also done rather splendidly as well. They have supported a number of well-known musicians at gigs across the UK and Europe, including Marillion, Kings X, Steve Hogarth, Bowes & Morley (Thunder) and Asia. Work on the new album 'Straylight' is in progress, but has to take a back seat while John Mitchell and Bob Dalton work on the new It Bites album due out in 2007. -
