Howdy, my name is Laura Jane. I'm a 21 year old singer songwriter from the Central Coast of NSW.
I'm currently working as a telemarketer (Yes, hate me) in order to get some cash to record some proper demos. As you'd be aware, the recordings are pretty dodgy. I'm not gonna bullshit - I've been writing and playing guitar less than 2 years. The songs are recorded with a $15 microphone, a crap guitar, my voice and some dodgy software. It's nothing fancy.
Since I made this profile a year ago, I've been getting a lot of messages and though I try to reply to everyone, I don't always manage it. From now on I won't be replying to "Erm, who are u?" type messages. When a band or musician adds you, it's generally because they're promoting themselves. Yes, that's right: It's self promotion. I'm well aware that it's a bit shit, but plenty of musicians and bands do it. If you listen to my music and hate it, I'd much rather you tell me than do the "who r u" thing. It'd certainly be more interesting, anyway.
I'll also delete any comment that is along the lines of: "size DOES matter" and "OMG, I got this free ringtone the other day...". Some distasteful character felt the need to post porn on my profile yesterday. What the hell is that about?! I'll delete stuff like that too. Plus the "who r u" type comments just because they annoy me. So yeah, basically I'll delete anything that pisses me off.
Hmmm, what else to say?
Oh yeah, I'll probably end up doing some gigs pretty soon. When I get that sorted, I'll put the dates up.
