The Uzumé began as the first company in the Netherlands representing Tribal Fusion Belly Dance. The innovative and charismatic Uzumé have won several awards, including one for Best Dance Company. In 2008 Tjarda was nominated by The National Institute for the Voluntary Arts in the Netherlands for Most Promising Upcoming Choreographer with Exquisite Skills.

Bring the belly back in belly dance! Build combinations of liquid layers and torso work that roll and ripple through your belly, back, hips and shoulders. Then, add arms and footwork to frame and enhance some of your most elegant moves.

You Love ‘em. We Love ‘em. Dance Combinations are a great way to pack in technique and signature stylizations in a short workshop timeframe. COMBO-nation will cover tried and true Zafira classic combos that they've used in some of their most popular performances, as well as new and "in the works" combos that'll push you both physically and creatively. Bring your note pad & yoga mat for a brief warm up.

Boring dance routines got you down? Are you looking for something to resuscitate your creativity? Well, let Zafira help you breathe life into your dance practice. Drama, musicality and technique are addressed in this workshop. First, we will build several tribal fusion combinations that incorporate contemporary dance with bellydance torso work- focusing on technique and alignment. Then, we will use these combos to experiment with musicality, emotion, and nuanced gestures in order to bring these young Frankensteins to life.
15.30-18.00 u: Gip-SAY SPINS and STYLINGS 2,5 hrs 50 euro WS4
Explore Zafira's distinct, earthy style in this workshop full of unique gypsy-inspired movements and spins. We will learn combinations that employ percussive movement, gestures and a variety of spins influenced by Rajasthani, Turkish, Romanian, Greek and Spanish Romani dance.
