Many people in the Pacific Northwest are waiting for the next volcanic eruption to occur, and they don't have to look any further than local band, The Vacant. In Portland, Oregon, a group of musicians are determined to become the next band to burst out of the Portland music scene. Striving to balance the weight of gravity, age, and maturity; The Vacant has found a way to show their musical maturity has peaked at a time when instrumental rock bands are few and far between.
The Vacant consists of three individuals with very different musical backgrounds, and promises to produce an unique blend of colors, chaos, and spirituality through their passion for music and art. While painters have their canvases to display their art, The Vacant have empty silence all around them to fill with their self-expressions of insecurities, commitment and love.
Ultimately, the goal for The Vacant is to produce beautiful sound-scapes of epic proportions. Songs are currently averaging in at about 8-10 minutes each, each one filled with it's own hooks and deep secrets. Ballads of turmoil, jealously, and forgiveness, grant access to the chance to view life through their perspective, which provides the listener with the opportunity to hear how these artists find their mindful approach to life through music.

I just wanted to take a moment to inform you all that we will be performing 2 shows in the coming weeks.
The first show will be on: Thursday, July 29th @ The Tonic Lounge with local band Avery Bell..and another band that has yet to be announced. This will be a FREE show!
