Warhammer 40,000-Games workshop/the minatures gaming universe is by far one of the most amazing and inviting communities that I've associated myself with in a long time. A few of my friends poke fun at me for it, but oh well, it's becoming a part of who I am. Sure it's expensive, but between the hobby, the game, and the community I have found it's perfectly well worth it to me.
Parkour-I've been neglecting this all summer, because I took up smoking, which sucks to quit doing, alot. I need will power
Sleeping-One of the single greatest things to happen to mankind. I don't often dream, but when I do I love it, to the point where I will refuse to wake up just because my imagination is spitting out such an amazing story that I want to finish.
Dancing-Gay, mabey, stress reliever, much so
Learning-I crave knowlege more than I crave food or drink. (that's a lie)
Life- I'm constantly doing field research, that is to say that I live my life, I don't ponder it.
Music
The challenge doesn't lie in finding something I like, it exists in finding something I don't. I guarantee that I like a solid five percent of the music put out by even the worst musicians.
To give you the scope of it.
At least two songs by every artist I have ever heard ever...
Including the Jonas Brothers...
Movies
The Chumscrubber-One of the most amazing dark comedies I've ever seen. The whole thing is just so relevant to today. My favorite part of the whole movie is how the crazy ones are the most sane and collected in the movie.
The Invisible-It's Sad...I cried...
50 Pills-Excellent narrative, James Taylor Pucci, Kristen Bell, yeah, win.
Any Tarantino written/directed/or acted cinema- I used to think Quentin Tarantino was an overrated director, but I realized what it is that makes him such a great screenwriter. He has an ability unlike any other to make his killers, his villians, his all around bad guys above all things human. He's also the only person that can tell a story backwards and keep the ending a secret until the last chapter of the picture.
Guy Ritchie Fims...
M. Knight Shamylan sucks dick (what a twist
Stephen King novels make terrible movies with bad twists...
We need a good horror movie...
If you say saw I'll fucking kill you.
That's just gore porn.
Television
Dexter-By far one of the most mind-bending thrillers out there...It gets robbed at the Academy Emmy's every year too, beat out by shit like damages, and every other run of the mill HBO drama. Violence in television is taken too seriously.
The standard shows like Southpark and Family guy are well up there on the list, South Park is definitely superior to family guy though. This is why, because South Park is so Universally relevant and wholly audacious that it is almost sure to influence or offend. There's nothing wrong with offending people either, it inspires change. The writers of South Park have attacked social, political, environmental, and religious issues with more conviction than any activist or senator, and still remained lighthearted about it.
Reality television fails. It had potential, but it threw it all away for dating shows and karaoke contests.
Game Shows- Have inspired three generations to entertain themselves by watching other people win money, and then ponder how they themselves would utilize such income.
Local News- Is garbage, watch BBC (for neutrality), or Fox...Go with the opposite bias of whatever is in office...
Anything educational is absolutely amazing...so...
TURN ON PBS OR SOMETHING...
Books
Harry Potter-Because they didn't grow on me they grew with me.
Frank Herbert's Dune the crowning achievement of science fiction...what it's supposed to be, not endless Star Wars Novels? Maybe?
L. Ron Hubbard was a terrible human being but an amazing fiction writer, which makes Dianetics such a convincing piece of work.
Robert Heinlein is one of the most intuitive novelists that I've ever had the pleasure to read.
DOUGLAS ADAMS-My favorite author. The epic that was the Hitchiker's Guide series is and I am sure will remain the single most amazing series of books. Witty, charming, touching, they have a hero you can't help but sympathize with, and the content is amazing. It's a world based on improbability and irony.
Heroes
People that respectively get me into/keep me out of trouble...
About me: I am a complicated individual, I like alot of things, and I feel guilty about alot of the things I like. My circle of friends is so diverse sometimes it's hard to just let loose and not worry what people think.
Which is one of my main problems, Occasionally I'm too concerned about what other people think about me, there's certain individuals that I can just let go around, but for some reason I'm always out to impress people I've never met, and sometimes I come off as a fool.
Overall I'm a pretty good guy, a few odd interests, but all in all I'm pretty cool, there's no one I really have any issues with, the best way to describe me would be content.
But yeah, talk to me, I like talking, so, yeah.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone, I'm a fan of talking to people, about anything, I like to argue. I'm a strong believer in human kindness.
