The Vals hail from Belfast,and set the scene alight with an array of fist in the air anthems,soon spreading the word to Ireland the U.K and parts of Europe with a list of festivals and high profile gigs.
Playing great venues in London,Belfast,Dublin,Geneva and Liverpool including the famous Cavern Club,The NI:Next - Generation Festival in The Brixton Windmill,headlining Belfast's Spring & Airbrake,Gifted @ The Empire,Radar at Queens University and also taking part in Switzerlands Partytime Festival in April 2008,storming the main stage on the Saturday night,the first Irish band to do so in their 11 year history.
In 2006 the band co-headlined Feile an Phobail,Europes largest community festival,with Echo and the Bunnymen,an honour for the band having grown up in West Belfast.The gig opened many doors for the band,including praise from Ian McCullough lead singer of the Bunnymen.
In 2008 they supported Ocean Colour Scene during the 'Pure Acoustic' tour,gaining a legion of OCS fans and much praise from Simon Fowler and Steve Craddock for the bands performance during the Belfast leg of the tour.
The band have also been lucky enough to have recorded some tracks in Windmill Lane studios in Dublin,famous for producing albums by the likes of U2 and The Rolling Stones and also Amberville studio recording an album in just a day!
Many of the bands tracks have received great response all around the world,with constant airplay on stations in the U.S such as North Carolina's PW Radio on WMFO, and also making the Heavy Grinder playlist on Manhattans Altrok f.m alongside the likes of Razorlight and Coldplay.The band have also had features on BBC ATL show,Feile FM's 'Livewire' show and also a full television show showcasing acoustic versions of their songs on NVTV in Ireland.
2008 brings a new release from the Vals,along with a new line up.
