Val Verde are 3 Fifers and a Glaswegian who in 2008 began to make their mark on the Scottish music scene.
They have established themselves on their home turf of Dunfermline, Fife as one of the top live acts on the local scene and have built up a strong following as well as a string of industry admirers.
2008 seen them supporting some quality acts including:
Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Chris Helme (The Seahorses), Attic Lights, Sergeant, Figure 5 and Broken Records to name but a few.
This year they hope to build on the reputation they have built locally, and with a bit of graft and perseverance, look to spread the name Val Verde nationally.
Saturday 23rd May seen their 1st release in the form of a 5 track E.P which is available via links at this site and all major digital stockists. They are currently in the middle of a mini UK tour to support the release, check out the gig listings and get along! So far this year they have been invited to take part in the Liverpool Soundcity Festival and have also been asked to play a Brit Bus UK Showcase in June at Glasgow's O2 Academy.
2009 looks to be a very busy year already with gigs and tunes aplenty and with a lot more to come. Get along and get in tae it!!!
