About me: The Vapour Trail is currently sealing a deal to enter a new home. Beginning in October 2007, the night (originally a Wednesday, then a Friday from 2008) has called The Gaff, Nambucca and The Old Kings Head home at different times throughout its thus-far-glorious existence. Hosted by The Firm and The Drowners, its DIY approach and party atmosphere has excited and inspired equally, and will no doubt continue to do so.
As per usual, we will be playing the very best in shoegaze, post-punk, C86, gloom rock, noise pop, alt.rock, goth, psychedelia, indiepop and space rock and you will witness an array of fabulous bands each month.
The night has seen a huge array of great bands tread its boards, bands that are unquestionably linked by a sense of otherness and outsiderdom, a perennial antidote to the wretched filth we now know as 'Landfill Indie'.Bands that play at the upcoming Vapour Trails can be found in our Top Friends so you can check them out. What if someone said to you that they wont give you a record deal because of who you sound like... well it happen to me: The record companies wont give me a deal because i sound too much like Michael Jackson. The voice i have was given to me by God and now the A & R rep's want to use it against me.. This dissappointment did not stop me , i have funded my own project and kept recording song after song... now it's time to be heard... You my friends have told me time and time again , that i need to be a professional singer and that's exactly what i'm going to do... You are more that a record company , you are the one's who make stars.. without you the record company wont sell records... Please purchase a song or two if you happen to love my music... this will ensure that i continue to bring my music to the forefront just like the Label's do... my next step is a major radio promotion deal that's almost finish..
