ABOUT AARDVARK'S:
Aardvarks opened in September 2003. We are a video store, full service ice cream parlor and sell comics and games too. We also have lots of back issues, trade paperbacks, action figures, statues and apparel as well.
As you know, The Aardvark has been through some tough times over the past year and that is all about to change.
My name is Larry. I opened Comics MD in Accokeek Maryland ten years ago. There was a store in Waldorf named "Beetle Comics" and after it had a tough time I took it over the day it closed. I reopened it as Comics MD and we have now been open longer than any other comic book and gaming store in southern Maryland.
I have been friends with Mike and Tara for many years and I know the hard work and late nights they put into the Aardvark over the past six years. They loved this store and they loved all the people. Unfortunately, life gets tough and sometimes you have to give up the things you love just as they had to. Mike and Tara did not want to see The Aardvark close, and it is not going to! Mike and Tara were not concerned with self gain. Their only concern was that this store stayed open for you. Do not fret either, as they have not left you; You will still see Mike and Tara here from time to time.
With lots of help, I plan to return The Aardvark to the wonderful and exciting family store that it was and much, much more. We need you, so please continue to support us. Also, feel free to make suggestions, as we want to hear them. It is the customers that make the store and if not for you guys, it would just be an empty building.
