We at The Verge Conference would like to send out our sincerest thanks to everyone who was involved in the Verge between April 19th and 21st. To every attendee, artist, exhibitor, and volunteer, THANK YOU. The conference could not have happened without everyone who was involved, and we sincerely appreciate every single one of you.
Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience.
Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 09 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.

Amie Street is a playground where you can… * Discover and buy new, independent music at your price. * Earn free music when you find great songs and recommend them to your friends. * Download new songs to any mp3 player or listen to them from your Amie Street online library, on any computer, any time. How much does it cost? * Becoming a member of the Amie Street, either as an artist or as a music lover, is completely free. No credit card required. * All songs on Amie Street start FREE and can rise to 98 cents. We’re about discovery, not raiding your wallet. * The price of a song depends on how much the community likes it (how many times it’s bought on Amie Street). Are there any restrictions on the music I buy from Amie Street? * Heck no. We have no DRM on our mp3’s, so once you buy them, they’re yours. Put them on your iPod, your computer, a CD you made for road trips, or anything else you can come up with. Come up with something good? Send us a picture. The best we’ve gotten so far is an MP3 playing on a “digital” refrigerator. Why do you have such a different pricing system? * Our pricing model encourages music lovers to discover and buy new music. If a song is free, it hasn’t been discovered by a wider audience. If a song is 98 cents, it’s already a must-hear hit. Recommend the great new songs you find to your friends and earn credit for buying even more great music! How can I contact Amie Street? * You can MySpace message us, or email us any time at hollerback@amiestreet.com. We’d love to hear from you, whether it’s about how to use the site or if it’s to wax philosophical about music.
