The New York City based Vesties fuse eclectic regional influences and an energetic urban edge to form a power trio that is all-girl, with a sound that's all their own. Their raw mix of rock, pop, metal, and even a tinge of country, reflects a background as diverse as the city they call their second home. With hometowns in South Carolina, Florida, and California, The Vesties draw musical inspiration from their experiences as young girls who migrated to NYC with dreams of rock 'n' roll.
Willow, Mary Jane, and Julie have been playing their hard-driving songs across NYC for the last three years, filling local venues with both new and diehard fans. With Willow ..board and bass, Julie on guitar, and Mary Jane on the drums, the trio belts out two-part harmonies, blistering power chords, and catchy keyboard melodies.
After winning a brand new Dodge Caravan on The View, they toured down the East Coast making heads turn and hearts break. In addition to this national exposure, they have been on Fox's Fearless Music program and countless internet radio stations in between plaing NYC clubs.
Recently, The Vesties finished recording a 5 song EP with the production team of Joe Guido and Scott Sheets (Pat Benatar Band) at Joe Blaney Recording Studios (The Clash) in NYC. Mixing and Engineering was handled by Matt Gill (Tigers and Monkeys, Dr Rosen Rosen, The Sound of Urchin, Fischerspooner.) Mastered at Bionic Mastering by Tom Hutten. The cd is now available on itunes.
