THE VICTORIA is a pub opened on John Bright St in the 1950s, having survived being managed (in the loosest sense of the word) by M & B and Admiral Taverns she still stands today as testament to the attraction of our nation's pubs.
THE VICTORIA is what we like to call 'your local independent pub-brought up to date'. Gone are the shackles of brewery branding and generic offering. Bored are we of the next beige and brown gastro blah blah blah.
Yes it is a pub but we like to think we are a bit off the wall with bohemia meets cosmopolitan, our blend of historical character blended with todays tastes, interesting liquid libations to quench everyone's palate, warm surroundings, friendly service and value for your hard earned sterling.
Musicaly we are not bound by stereotypical genre, we play the stuff you like both with local and national touring acts and via local DJs but don't take our word for it, come and visit...soon...
HOW TO FIND THE VICTORIA: The Victoria, is located on John Bright Street, around the back of the Alexandra Theatre and Island Bar...You can't miss it, its the green building on the bend..
