The Vickers were born at the end of 2006. Their sound is mainly influenced by british pop-rock sometimes mixed with the american folk-rock tradition. Between 2007 and 2008 they have been playing many gigs in live-music pubs and festivals. They recorded their first demo, "The Vickers" (4 tracks), at the end of 2007. In January 2008 they have been chosen by David Bash for playing at the International Pop Overthrow (IPO), traveling music festival, for the Liverpool’s Cavern stage held from the 20 and the 26 of May.
After the english mini-tour, the band signed with the indipendent label Foolica Records. Their debut album "Keep Clear" was released 13th february 2009. The album was positively received by the most important national musical revues and international blogs and webzines.
From March 2009 the band appeared on national magazines like GQ, and their songs are currently getting airplay on important radios like Radio RAI (Radio Televisione Italiana).
I Vickers nascono alla fine del 2006. Fin dall'inizio della loro attività emerge un sound tipicamente britannico, non nascondendo influenze americane.
La band colleziona numerosi concerti tra il 2007 e il 2008.
Nell'ottobre del 2007 registrano il loro primo demo, composto da 4 pezzi.
Il demo frutta al gruppo recensioni positive e soprattutto la partecipazione al festival internazionale International Pop Overtrow (IPO). Vengono infatti scelti dall'organizzatore David Bash, e suonano al prestigioso Cavern Club di Liverpool (Beatles, Who, Oasis etc...!) il 26 maggio 2008. Al ritorno dal mini-tour inglese (3 date) firmano con l'etichetta indipendente Foolica Records. Il 13 febbraio 2009 è uscito Keep Clear, il loro album di debutto. Nonostante sia passato poco tempo dall'uscita, l'album, oltre ad essere stato accolto positivamente dalle riviste specializzate, ha fruttato al gruppo l'apparizione in magazine nazionali come GQ e passaggi frequenti su radio del calibro di Radio RAI.
