THE VINTAGE duo is formed by Flavio and Bruno who have had their music charted on all four corners of the globe direct from their studio in the south of Lausanne.
It took little over one year for these two artists to break their silence and hit the major music scene thanks primarily to the assistance of Los Angeles producer, Eddie Armador who was writing a new chapter in house music history with his new label MOCHICOPRIMO!
Eddie signed and remixed The Vintage’s track “To Believe” which made a large impact and stayed in the top 10 best sellers chart at the world’s 1 online retailer, Beatport for many weeks. Their first release won support from the likes of David Morales, Danny Rampling, Roger Sanchez & Superchumbo.
Like all good historical beginnings, a great friendship was formed between The Vintage and Eddie Armador, with the duo doing a remix for Eddie’s own release for his label.
During this time The Vintage also released “Wake Up America” on Sondos, a sub label for Subliminal Records run by dj star Erick Morillo and featured as well on a Subliminal Sessions mix CD, Jorge Jaramillo (Who Tha Funk) – Winter Sessions which was distributed globally and took only 3 weeks to sell out. The track also received great praise from Pete Tong on his BBC1 radio show, from Roger Sanchez on Release Yourself and also featured on Joe T Vannelli’s mix cd, Supalova.
On the European scene, “Ho the Dancefloor” was released on French label Mañana Records and come with a remix from Parisian, Dan Marciano. The duo from Lausanne made a trip to the Miami 2006 Winter Music Conference, where they were invited to guest mix alongside Eddie Armador. A new production called “Dune” was released on MOCHICOPRIMO! with a remix by Crystal Symphony aka Luis Leite, dj star from Lisbon, Portugal. This was followed up by remix for Eddie’s new track, “Thirst” and released later on his label. If this wasn’t enough, the boys also remixed “Cranberry” by Mendo for Georgo Morel’s label Groove On Records, this remix spent 2 weeks on the top 20 downloads chart for Progressive on Beatport.
Early 2007 so the release of “Something About the Music” on Eddie Armador’s MOCHICOPRIMO! with two remixes and featured on the Peter Rauhofer compilation, I Love Miami. Following this release, The Vintage signed “Burning” to Swiss label, Helveitca Noir. This new sub label to Helvetica Recordingz was founded by Swiss producer BP Zulauf and is now managed by The Vintage.
Keep an eye out for future releases such as “Born in Ibiza”, “The Underground” feat. Liah Karli and a remix for Australian label, Bellarine Records. For the rest of the year the boys intend to spend more time in the studio and less time behind the decks, but they still hold their residence with elite night Mad Attitude, one of the biggest club nights in the Swiss French part of Switzerland, here you can see The Vintage mix up all their musical influences from such styles as tribal, house, progressive and tech house.
