Violated started out back in late 2004 in
Kristiansund, Norway.
Four metalheads with a mutual goal and taste
in music that had to be explored together.
We had all played together in different bands for
a long time and even together at one point or another,
in different Death & Black Metal bands.
Stig had an idea about starting a Thrash metal band and
had a name ready
Hans and then current drummer Joachim had the same
idea about starting a Thrash metal band.
We found out that joining forces was the best idea and thus
we we're a disfunctual three-some.
We found out we needed a second guitarist
so Dag from our old band Hysterectomy joined up
and thus the 1 lineup of Violated was Created.
After a few gigs we recorded our first demo in late 2005
named "Bearing the Weight of the World"
few copies were made.
On our second demo "Reign of Violence"(2006) we went even more bay area oriented
which features the five tracks :
Human illusion,Apocalyptic remains,
Piece by Piece,Lethal intoxication and the title track
Reign of violence.
But After a year we had started writing new and better material,
more in the vein of the old bay area style
and was starting to plan our debut album.
well into the plans of recording our album our drummer
unfortunately left
at the end of 2007 for personal reasons.
It came as a blow to all of us but we had to move on...
A few weeks we found our replacement with
Pica Fierce drummer Eirik Roksvåg a fantastic
and experienced drummer.
Helping us take our music to a whole new level
Our Debut album "Only Death Awaits" is set to be released this coming fall(2009)
