BIOGRAFIA

Prendendo ispirazione dai gruppi che hanno occupato i dintorni di Seattle, ovvero la cosiddetta scena grunge degli anni Novanta composta da Nirvana, Melvins e Mudhoney, i Violet Sheep iniziano la loro esperienza musicale realizzando brani originali dal timbro malato e graffiante. Condiscono il tutto con le influenze dell’arido Palm Desert nel sud della California, patria di Kyuss, Queens.of.the Stone Age e Fu Manchu. Il loro progetto inizia nel 2004 coinvolgendo il pubblico dei locali della zona attorno al piccolo paese di Caldonazzo, in provincia di Trento, per poi azzardare il contatto anche con diverse realtà extraprovinciali negli anni seguenti. Il trio composto da Di (Daniel), Mic (Michele) e Bambi (Francesco), rispettivamente basso e voce, batteria e chitarra, proseguendo nel suo percorso è giunto all'autoproduzione di 2 cd/demo, il primo nel 2006 e il secondo nel settembre 2008, per un totale di 11 brani originali scelti all’interno di un più ampio repertorio. Il trio valligiano non intende però fermarsi qui.

BIOGRAPHY

Inspired by music groups who worked in Seattle’s suburbs, the so called grunge scene of the 90s, such as Nirvana, Melvins and Mudhoney, The Violet Sheep began their musical experience with original pieces characterized by a scratched and morbid sound. Their musici s even influenced by the arid Palm Desert in Southern California, home of Kyuss, Queens.of.the Stone Age and Fu Manchu. The Violet Sheep’s musical project initiated in 2004 involving the audience in small pubs and bars in the area surrounding the village of Caldonazzo, in the province of Trento; only later they dared to contact other realities outside from their home province. The trio, composed by Di (Daniel), Mic (Michele) and Bambi (Francesco), respectivly bass and voice, drums, solo guitar, has produced by himself two demoes/cd: the first in June 2006, and the second in September 2008, in total 11 original musical pieces chosen from a larger repertoire. The trio from the Sugana Valley (Valsugana) is resolute to go ahead.
