"Healing is communication; and music, in its universal nature, is total communication. In the deepest mysteries of music are the inspirations, the pathways, and the healing which lead to one-ness and unity." ~Olivea Dewhurst-Maddock
The Virginia City Revival! You are most delicious! We’re popping in to send you greetings & salutations! Please accept our well wishes & love. Are you a pharmaceutical enthusiast? Then you may want to eat more fish. Recently, fish caught over by wastewater treatment plants (that serve 5 major cities in the U.S.) were found to have traces of pharmaceuticals. The consequences of extracting sweat from used bath towels and teaching young monkeys proper dental hygiene are religious confusion and the inability to become self-actualized. Contrary to popular belief, putting dirt in your eye will not resolve the issue. A freeway is a particular type of road that is designed for high-speed maneuvering of motor vehicles, making pulled pork sandwiches, and pulling the limbs off of live lobsters and lemurs. The Ohio man was charged with drunk driving after crashing his motorized bar stool (powered by a deconstructed lawn mower) through a supermarket glass plate window – subsequently hospitalized for minor injuries and eating an ostrich (Leviticus 11:16). We wish you an abundance of blessings, peace, love, and happiness. The meaning of life is to live it; and love God. Let’s go caving!

Hello to you, The Virginia City Revival. Before the madness of the Holiday Season falls upon us, come join us at Mr. T’s Bowl in Highland Park on Saturday, December 6, 2008, as we play with Psychobud, Cellphish, Trashed Idols, and The Lowclass. Panic Movement will be opening the show and is schedule to go on around 9:15 PM. We hope you can make it. Hello there! I'm an aspiring schizotypal hipster who's into grated carrots, magnetic force fields, intrapsychic farming, coprophilia, and judy blume. I am seeking an open minded person for a lifetime of malingering, suspicious bodily injury, snail breeding, ice cream milk shakes, physics, and anthropod worship. Must have a borderline personality disorder, a job, multiple piercings, an addiction to chaos, and an inclination toward anthropomorphism. Let's wear bear suits and pretend we're married.
3rd ANNUAL VENICE BEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL SUNDAY, AUGUST 10, 11 a. m. to 7 p.m.
On Sunday, August 10, 2008, the 3rd Annual Venice Beach Music Festival will rock the beach from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. near the Venice skate park at the west end of Windward Avenue. A free event, the festival features a full afternoon of music from six eclectic and unusual up-and-coming bands as diverse in their sound as they are in their appearance. Venice’s own Sugarbitch headlines. After six years playing on the boardwalk and at legendary Hollywood venues including the Viper Room, Roxy, and House of Blues, Sugarbitch’s unique sound is a combination of soul and funk, spun with an operatic, psychedelic twist by entertaining lead singer Nia Mondy. Other local and California-based bands are scheduled to play throughout the afternoon. The Aliens, who have gifted Hollywood and the southland with their visits for ten years, land at 11 a.m. sharp. Donning costumes and masks and operating a self-crafted instrument, the “Out-of-control-atron,” they experiment with new life forms of sound—surf-punk tinged with a heavy-metal guitar. They are sure to abduct new fans as they sing, “Take me to your leader.” Stobo is an L.A. based quartet whose sound ranges from cleverly-penned ballads to justified, fist-pumping hard rock. Having played with Beck, Me’shell N’degeocello, and Stephen Perkins, the band features the original music of singer/songwriter Billy Stobo. The Virginia City Revival, a self-proclaimed “church,” will be on hand for those who don’t make it to services earlier that morning. The sisters and brothers of this ensemble preach their own gospel—an outrageous marriage of country, surferbilly, and hard rock—and their dress and lyrics are political comic relief as much as commentary. Ninja Academy is a “bass and drums instrumental fury” that has played stealthily but steadily throughout Los Angeles for five years. Their songs have been featured on the MTV series “The Real World. ”
