The Visible Men grew up a poor farm boy. He dreamt of making his way to the big city, where one day he imagined seeing his name in lights. People used to laugh at The Visible Men when he would tell them his dream. You see, out in those parts every once in a while a plucky, courageous young person is born, who has fantastical ideas about making it big. Well, out in those previously mentioned parts, folks generally try to beat the idealism out of those kids, so as to save them the disappointment of failing. But somehow, The Visible Men couldn't be daunted. He saved every penny he could afford to, but times were tight and it was taking too long to amass what he needed. Luckily for him, his family saw how desperate he was, and they scraped together what they could to get him the rest of the way there. Once in the hustle and bustle of the big city, he realized that the really hard task was still ahead of him. Making it to the top wouldn't be easy. But for the moment he had to start by figuring out how to make it out of the bottom. . . .
The weirdest thing happened. I was in local record shop on my lunch break today and I came across a used copy of Love:30!!! (This might not seem like such a big deal until you consider that I live in Milwaukee, WI) I couldn't believe it...I snatched it up (for the bargain price of $1.99). Anyway, that was the weirdest thing to happen to me in a long time. I'll catch you when I'm Eugene in August!
