The band split up in August 2006, five years after the formation of The Dawn Parade in 2001, ten months after the first gig as The Visions at the end of 2005, and following John Peel sessions, gigs in America, and the completion of an unreleased debut album Rocksound called "impeccable."
Under the title The Dawn Parade, a definitive best of album will be released soon on R*E*P*E*A*T* Records. Comprising the full debut album along with unreleased recordings of recent live favourites Look Ma Im a Soldier and The Fortune Line, previous Dawn Parade singles Caffeine Row and The Underground, unreleased single Strung Out on Nowhere, Some Desperate Beat from the first Peel session, and the live Peel session version of Good Luck Olivia, the ALBUM IS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE from www.repeatfanzine.co.uk and through R*E*P*E*A*T Records, cat no BB 011, R*E*P*E*A*T, PO Box 438, Cambridge CB4 1FX soon.
