| About The Visitors |
|
Originally started as a jam session between Graham, Nick and Adi in the basement of the Ukraine Club, which as two guitarists and a drummer was never really going to work so another guitarist called Andy (now in Virale) was brought in and things moved in two senses, location and seriousness, new rehearsal rooms being Methringham Music Factory with Adi being vocalist aswell as a drummer, although proficient at both it was decided a frontman was needed.
After trying a friend of Andy's it was decided that he wasn't really the man for the job so in came Mark, now things started to move on but it was still slow moving. After one appearance in Sippers as the Bone Violets it was decided a change in line up was required due to Andy splitting his time in an originals band aswell as the Bone Violets so at Xmas 2005 Andy was replaced with Stephen "Salty" Hake, the final piece of the jigsaw so to speak.
Again due to work, family and personal commitments the band were still slow moving and after changing rehearsal rooms from MMF to the Turks Head and The Wildlife the band finally settled at The Chequers Club. Thanks to this now settled influence and a name change from the awfully named Bone Violets to The Visitors the band played a 10 song set supported by The Lost Boys at The Chequers on the 12th April 2006, a fair few local gigs later, and an international one!!, and another rehearsal move to Playing Aloud due to the closure of The Chequers Club with a repertoire of 30 plus songs here we are!!!
