Sounds Like
A very original blend of Counting Crows mixed with Turin Brakes, with a dash of Whiskeytown finished off with a twist of Blind Melon!
The Visitors are essentially a 6 piece folk-rock-country creation formed by Ross Ingram & James Dyer of Portsmouth, Hampshire.
Since their early days as a duo they have developed their own colourful sound consisting of rich melodies and strong hooks.
Their music has been compared to Counting Crows, Whiskeytown and Wilco and from supporting such acts as Nizlopi, Ocean Colour Scene, Ed Harcourt, Jack Savoretti, The Bees & Nick Harper, they have established a large and loyal fan-base which continues to grow.
The band has always thrived on experimentation and pursued collaboration with many different artists, allowing them to add a rich variety of styles to their creative mix.
Just last year they had their music used by Sony Computer Entertainment, having their latest recordings added to the PS3 demo units and distributed in over 5,000 retailers within 101 countries worldwide throughout the PAL territories.
After the completion of their highly acclaimed EP "Travelling" and the release of the Sony PS3, endorsement deals and label interest have been surrounding the band.
With new material now on its way, and a festival schedule planned for the summer, the expectation is high for The Visitors in 2008.

Hi Jim! Yes, if I could give 3 pieces of advice: Gig, gid and gig! It's your "noise in society", your storefront, your existence in the living world. Sell your cd's at your concerts and build your fan-base. It's the "grass roots" way of doing things but it works. Not to mention, a gig is worth 10 rehearsals so your band just gets tighter, more songs get written, etc - it's a win win to do as many gigs as possible. Labels are falling down, so gigging is your promotion. Matt
