THE VOGUES- Belgian band doing a Gallic hued indie pop. From Brussels, looking to get a fan base in London. Actually, they are tres bien at this lo-fi indie rock! Can definitely hear some Strokes and Arctic Monkeys nuances in the vocals.

Sounds Like
Well dressed rock'n roll
"I'll wrap things up with a little continental flair, in the form of these lovelies from Brussels. The Vogues love their British bands, and definitely wouldn't sound out of place played alongside 70s era Kinks or the Stone Roses. The Vogues fit into the retro Brit rock genre rather nicely with "A Toy for A Boy" (and, well, all their other songs). The "ooh ooh's" in the chorus ices the proverbial cake." (Lose Record.com)
THE VOGUES play just pure pop rock and roll.

The sound of The Vogues resonates with influences including the Beatles, The Stones, Kinks, Stone Roses, Blur, Oasis, Suede, The Strokes and the Libertines.
Yet their songs and image are far from retrospective; mixing soul bass lines, 6O’s garage riffs and a pinch of baggy and glam-rock attitude with contemporary elements.
Following the great rock’n’’roll tradition, The Vogues line up consists of two electric guitars, bass and drums, lead and backing vocals with occasional sleazy harmonica.
A bit "cliché"? Yeah!Definitely!
After a few gigs in Belgium (opening for DIRTY PRETTY THINGS, HOT CLUB DE PARIS, ...) and a mini tour in Paris and Amsterdam, they'll release their 1st ep in winter 2009.

Influences? The Kooks, the Strokes,Arctic Monkeys,Libertines ....sans oublier les anciens :Stone Roses,Kinks,Pretty Things et même des relents Rolling Stones, époque Brian Jones(1964/65) ,of course.Ils jouaient encore du raw British RnB ,style' Under my Thumb'...
'new one ' ' in and out' tous des vintage rock tracks de 3' ,parfois quelques ooh oohs dans les choeurs ...,ça cogne dur.
Dernier titre 'Saturway' .

"DJ Monkey …soul-stirring, excitingly edgy music…just disturbing (read ‘mind-f**king’) enough to demand attention. There is a whole spice rack of auditory flavors here, served up like fractured poetry on a collection of intensely listenable Hallmark cards from Hell." Bill Margold, Cinema Seen, L.A. X..Press
