Rock music with a bit of a roll.. yes, the Volunteers are served straight up in the single malt blend that is New York City. A quartet band led by singer Bones Howell, joined by guitarist John Cave, bassist Dave Smith, drummer Paul Cigolini, the Volunteers have toured North America, while gaining homegrown critical acclaim (High Times, The Onion, The Deli, Jersey Beat).

Spectrophilia, released September of 2008, was recorded with Producer Paul Mahajan (Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, TV on the Radio, The National) at Monsterland Studios in Brooklyn, NYC.
