The Voodoo Suite Studio is a private studio owned by Mamma Freedom and Producer Alexander Johnston, it usually only caters for Company CMI, Carlini group, In Touch Entertainment, the band, it’s family of musicians and various projects including One&aZero and Zoe Lee.
Alexander Johnston is an Industry approved producer in the US and UK, and is Music Supervisor for a Hollywood film company and is managed by In Touch Entertainment in New York whose roster include Oscar winning film composer Ennio Morricone, Eumir Deodato and Keith Emerson. He was lucky enough recently to team up with World renowned Mixer/Engineer Tom Fletcher whose credits include Don Henley, Suicidal Tendencies, Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Lukather, Toto, Yes, Yngwie Malmsteen and Hilary Duff to name a few and on his last trip to LA he was asked at the request of Producer Claudio Cueni to sit in on the recording of a track on the Latest Tupac record. He is joined on the Production team by his right hand man and Engineer/Producer Ben Husdan (One&aZero). With the experience and knowledge acquired over many years in the industry the Voodoo suite offers some unique qualities. We deal with all stages of musician, from the band doing their first demo, bands doing demo’s for record companies to a bands 3rd albums or 5th singles, from singers to rappers, jazz trios to full choirs, we deal with all styles too, right through to arranging, song-writing, re-mixing and session players. Unlike most of today’s studio recordings, our professional production team overlooks your sessions. Even if you’ve never sang or recorded before and want to try we offer a beginners rate too.
Most bands today are being charged sky high prices for 8 hour sessions with just an engineer and when your times up, that’s it your out, you end up coming away with a badly mixed, tinny, quiet sounding demo that you wish you could do again. Because the studio is privately owned you can specify exactly what you want and how long you want it to take, we have varying price plans to cater for our varying clients (times and session depend on the artists studio deal). It’s even possible for a band to record an albums worth of demo’s and be able to afford it, we know most bands have many tunes that they cant record due to costs, and this can sometimes lead to missed business in the industry, the tune you have recorded might not be your best, you can’t choose till you’ve heard them all recorded. We also aim to get the very best out of the people who use our studios as the artist has paid money to sound how they want to and our production team have a reputation to uphold.

The Voodoo Suite price list 2010

BASIC STARTING HOURLY RATE £20 per Hour

Per Song Rate
£150 for Vocal recording and Mixing (5 Hours).
Best for: Artists who have the song tracks already recorded and want to record vocals on top and have it professionally mixed on a limited budget.

Basic Rate
£200 for 8 hour session plus Engineer, 2 song maximum.
Example:
6 hours recording time
1 hour overdubs
1 hour mixing and mastering
Best for:
Bands or artist starting out who want to put songs on the net (Myspace, Pure Volume), to get gigs with or to give out at gigs.

A&R Rate
£300 for 10 hour session plus Engineer and Producer to oversee finished product, 3 song maximum
Example:
8 hours recording
1 hour overdubs
1 hour mixing and mastering
Best for:
Bands or artists who are sending demos to record companies, agents or industry and trying to create a name or buzz about the artist.

Release Rate
£500 for 12 hour session plus Engineer and Producer to oversee all sessions and final product, 2 song maximum
Example:
8 hours recording
2 hours overdubs
2 mixing and mastering
Best for:
Bands or artists releasing singles, albums or Ep’s themselves or on a small indie labels, for radio and TV airplay, to sell at gigs and for musicians who want better than demo quality.

Pro Rate
£500 for 12 hour recording session plus 12 hours mixing, Engineer and Producer, 3 song maximum Best for:
Bands or artists on the verge of industry deals, who want a polished professional industry approved product, or bands releasing singles on major or indie labels on a smaller budget.

Industry Rate
These rates are negotiable depending on artist, label and project size and length. Full industry approved Producer and Engineer included.

Week Session
*£1000 for one full week 7 days (16 hour working days). These do not have to be taken in a row and can be booked in a day at time if needed.

Rehearsals
*Have your rehearsals recorded for £50 per 4 hours

Remix
*Need a dance mix, house or funk mix for your song starting from £100 per song.

Home recording / Home studio / Solo Artists
*Have your own backing tracks? Want to record vocals? From £20 per hour

*Want drum tracks recording professionally for you to take back to you own studio? From £25 per hour

*Have a finished track but want to record vocals professionally? from £30 per hour.

*Need a track mixing professionally? from £50 per song.

*Need a track mastering? From £20 per hour.

All within 48hours (subject to availability)

Musicians for hire
*Need drums. brass, bass, harmonies, orchestra and more over your track. Hire some of the best in the business and email us your song, we will have the musicians recorded and sent back to you in 48 hours.

Hip Hop
*Need a hook or beat sampled or live? Hear your sample in your head? Have our musicians record it for you, no sample fees to pay.
