Thank you so much for another fantastic Mardi Gras performance. The
Voodudes were a hit again this year. Mardi Gras would not have been
such a success without you. We look forward to working with you again
next year!

Saw you all at Duke Island Park. We have started our second generation of Voodude fans. My daughter and son were the little ones running/dancing up front at the concert.
Keep playing strong!

The VOODUDES were sounding sweet. Great version of No Expectations, that guy has such a good voice. Let's do it again soon. by Silentrees
Hey, just came across your CD from my archives...man you guys use to
tear it up at the Ritz back in' 96....You are now on my ipod...I live in
Boston these days but still have a place on the Vineyard...ROCK ON!

The band is sounding better then ever. The arrangements, which were always awesome, are even more distinctive and tighter. The instrumental sounds are better then I remember, and I LOVE it when bands change instruments to get a particular sound for a particular song - the VooDudes are becoming excellent at this.
I always loved the Dudes, but I've got to say, they have brought it to the next level in terms of performance and professionalism.
Go Dudes.
Erich

Well first you gotta make a Roux!!!
Then add in some New Orleans funk, blues, boogie-woogie and honky-tonk. Add a pinch of Zydeco, Southern soul and Caribbean party music and let it simmer 'til it's real thick.
In the vast VooDUDES library of original songs, nothing is sacred. Whether it's imploding the hits of Hank Williams into the ultimate drivin' and cryin' song
("That Hank Williams Feeling"),
or eulogizing the Southern jazz funeral ("Party When You're Gone"), The VooDUDES do it all--and with a beat that will make you move your feet.
The VooDUDES have been featured on MTV's "Street Party," WPLJ's "Morning Show with Scott & Todd," and on the nationally syndicated "Dr. Demento Show." They've been seen in numerous festivals, including The Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival, Philadelphia's "Jambalaya Jam", New York's "Benson & Hedges Blues Festival" and Ft. Lauderdale's "Crazy Crawfish Fest." They've shared the bill with a galaxy of stars--among them, Dr. John, Levon Helm, Branford Marsalis, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Buckwheat Zydeco, C.J. Chenier, Chubby Carrier, Mavis Staples, Terrance Simien, Cowboy Mouth, The Holmes Brothers, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
The band has performed everywhere from The Hard Rock Cafe, Tramps and Le Bar Bat in New York City, to Jimmy's, Muddy Waters, and Cafe Brasil in New Orleans. The band has also toured in Europe and Canada.
They've produced three CDs:
Wake the Dead, Night of the Living 'DUDES and Block Party which are all currently for sale.
Thank you very much for letting me join your circle of friends. I hope to see you out on the road real soon. Keep the blues alive and keep on keeping the faith! Peace and Love! Shirley King, Daughter of The Blues
