The Voxx are a London based 3-piece who have been causing a buzz over the last couple of years as they stomp their musical adventures through the capital’s fantastic and filthy streets.
The trio comprising Mikey Buckley, Claude Trejonis and Daniel McLean have already played with the likes of the View, The Subways and Babyshambles, and last summer culminated in a heady climax with a support slot for the Prodigy in Croatia.
Comparisons are wide-ranging, with utterances of the Clash and the Verve in the same breath. Their spectacularly spaced-out moments call to mind early Spiritualized while their raunchier side reveals a satisfying combination of over-driven guitars and hook-laden melodies worthy of Nirvana or the Pixies.
They are currently working hard on their debut album and will resume their live performance schedule in the summer of ’09.
