TheWaits are 3 piece indie band from Leicestershire compromising of three best friends Dave Hammersley, Jake Moretta and Scott Powell. They play there music for the love of doing so.
There songs are forged on life experiences and feeling (ask dave what there about :). They hope you love there music as much as they do and maybe one day it will be heard by everyone.

The sixth band of the night was Coalville based three-piece The Waits. Their sound is upbeat, melody-driven Indie-Rock distinguished by some excellent songs full of vocal and guitar hooks. Dave has a great voice (and some well used backing vocals from both Jake and Scott) which fits their sound perfectly; he is also a strong, engaging frontman for a band with an all-round confident and charismatic stage manner. Receiving one of the most enthusiastic audience responses, they delivered one of the strongest performances of the evening that showed they are a band with some real potential.

Well done for winning the 'Empire Band of the Land' on friday :) Really wish I could've been there. You deserve it though. Let's hope it's the start of something big - onwards and upwards and my mum said! :) miss u all, aint seen u in a wee while. lemme know when the next gig is x.x
