The Wait Ups hail from Annandale in Sydney's Inner West. With two solid EPs under their belt, the band have a refined and tight sound, far beyond their years. Influenced by bands like You Am I, The Posies and The Replacements, The Wait Ups have established a great fanbase which is growing quickly.
Nick Franklin (lead vocals, guitars), delivers a tele tone to die for, and posesses a voice with the grit and growl of a young Dave Grohl. Pete Kossen (bass and vocals, previously of The Stiffies), posesses a melodic ability that sets him apart from most every other bassist. Pounding the skins is Mike Evans, who has been described as one of the most solid and impressive rock drummers in Sydney.
