The Waltz is the moniker for Brian Carley's (penfold, the moirai) solo music. The name comes from the fact that early on, most of the music was being written in the time signatures of 3/4 or 6/8. He has branched out a bit since then, but not too much. What started as rough demos in 1999 very slowly blossomed into a full-time project as recent as December of 2008. Brian finally found ample time to donate to this often-overlooked yet beloved little escape. Moving in to 2009 he has plans for an EP, a full-length and some touring. Stay tuned for more.

I'm happy to give any inspiration possible. I love your music and you have a great outlook on life, or at least the way you present yourself. Remember, I'm moving out to Maryland in June. When I get settled I want to come out to New Jersey and check out some of your local shows...or just have a beer. That would be awesome. Talk to you later.
By the way thanks for all the inspiration. Though my trip won't fully involve music, I am taking a road trip to down to New Orleans for Habitat for Humanity, going camping in the sedona desert in AZ, and going South to North in CA. Many stops all over. I have to live this life and fulfill the dreams that life has to offer. I love you man.
Hey, haven't heard anything from you in a while. I hope things are going well. Let us know if you are going on tour again anytime soon. I'll be living out in Maryland in six months. Once I'm out there, I'll be looking you up a little more. I want my girl to come to one of your shows.
I really enjoyed your show at teh Local 269 last week, and am loving the CD. Will keep an eye out for when I am in NYC again. Thanks for the great music.
Hey man, sorry to hear about your computer. But you never know man it might turn out to be a pleasant surprise. Can't believe you quit I thought you were joking when you said you were going to when you got back. As long as your happy though. I don't think a job should be so tedious. If you're genuinely unhappy with the work I would advise in quitting to anyone. That's what I did... but I kinda screwed myself since I couldn't find another job. But I still wouldnt change it. Hope it all works out for you.
I just got an invite to a show at my friends house... We are at outs but he won't deny me The Waltz. I will be there. Maybe a beer between friends and an x-penfold member is what we need to keep this friendship...lol I can't help but love the new music. You are doing great
