On stage the Adelaidian five-piece delivers a dense wall of delirious, melodic house-hop-disco-rock-dance at deafening volume. The band has supported Modular thoroughbreds Van She and Bumblebeez; played the Big Day Out 08, Big Day Out 09, Parklife 08, and St Jerome's Laneway Festival 09; opened for Dukes of Windsor; been selected for the 2009 Coopers Alive! festival, remixed The E.L.F, No Through Road and Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!; and (evidently) learned to name-drop.
THE WATERSLIDES will host an extravagant hometown launch for the debut EP "Julie's Dumplings" in early 2010.

Each band member, with the exception of the drummer, got up on the podium in front of the stage one at a time and did some freestyle dancing. Their show, although short, was jam packed with smoke machines, spontaneous group jumping, an impersonation of a burlesque dance thanks to one of the main singers and even a bubble machine..."

i used to write letters to grant piro when he hosted couch potato on sunday mornings....twice he read them out on air! i also received a signed photograph and a video about zebras in the mail. clearly he favoured me.
