Bio
To reach us, write to: thewaxbuckets@myspace.com. Mixing up bouncy, fast-paced ska with fiery, soulful funk, mellow, trancendant reggae and kick-ass, in-your-face punk rock, The Wax Buckets are redifining what it means to rock out in the 21st century. Get ready to skank your butts off as this supercrew skasystem takes the stage and brings you into their colourful world. Officially formed in 2007, the band went through several line-up changes before becoming the energetic septet they are today. Their songs reflect different aspects of the members' personalities, ranging from the politicized "Dissilusionned" and "Highjacking the Scene", to the light-hearted "Drunk & Out" or "Wind Beneath Your Skirt" and the rallying "The Bouncing Wolves" and "The Unofficial Anthem of the 4th Wave". In mid 2008, The Wax Buckets organised the successful benifit concert "Candles for Cuba", with all the profits going out to helping victims of recent hurricanes. Since then, they have taken their place as an active part of the vibrant Montreal ska scene... -------------------------------- Shows later and bunch of adventures, this chapter closes as JM joined a new band Mick and Mel starting a new one, to all I wish a good musical journey, thanks for listening to The WaxBuckets and a fair thanks to ALL past and present members for makin' it happened , and now I'm happily blowing off this candle that I lit 4 years ago. pick it up ! and see y'all later - game over - -
