Bio
No holds barred, knock down drag out, kick him while he is down and then buy him a pint Irish rock. In 19th-Century Dublin, a union of candlestickmakers--the Waxies--gathered annually to hold a festival that drew a crowd from miles around. People would save their money for months before the party to make sure that they could afford to dress up and buy a few drinks. The event became known as the Waxies’ Dargle, inspiring the popular Irish pub song of the same name. In 2007, a new incarnation of The Waxies came together in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to share traditional Irish music in their own way. The Waxies combine acoustic instrumentation with raw punk energy for a unique sound that fills the dancefloor and empties pint after pint. -

3 of 203MoreDear friends of celtic-rock,
we're happy to announce our new promotion and networking offer 2011.
Our first goal is to make celtic music visible in Germany and so we search contact to bands, promoters and organisers from all over the world. Our new brochure describes our promotion possibilities and direct contacts to our team members who are responsible for magazine, radiostation, video-channel and our diary of events.
Please find the brochure in an English and German version on our website at:
http://www.celtic-rock.de/kontakt/promotion
It would be terribly nice, if you forward this information to other interested people in your business environment.
Hope you enjoy it and don't hesitate to contact us.
Best wishes
Daniel
