Thankyou to EVERYONE who came to a gig, downloaded a song or even said "The Weapons? They're cunts". We'll no doubt see you down Nambucca one night...

THE LAST GIG!
========================== GARY CROWLEY BBC LONDON RADIO! ==========================
"They proudly present themselves as "Animals and numbskulls"! And who are we to argue? With a rowdy rabble like this lot, you'd be wise to buckle up for the ride...
Upbeat guitar band The Weapons formed in August 2006 with members David McSherry, Stevie Allen and Luke West and Johnny Lewis.
All based in north London, the four-piece decided it would be a good idea to play their first gig north of the Thames, too ... how about Scotland?! Travelling to Glasgow's Barfly for their debut gig was, say the band, one of their best moments to date, with much crowd-surfing, chanting and (we suspect) gnashing of teeth.
These days they tend to play a bit closer to home, but having started as they meant to go on, they don't hold back with a London crowd either.
Taking influences from the Jam to the Cooper Temple Clause, The Weapons have even threatened to unleash their own version of James Brown's Get Up on an unsuspecting public.
Clattering guitar heroes of London, they've already earned their spot as Record of the Week holders in the Camden New Journal. Nice!
Check out the demo we featured on London Calling, What You Don't Know You Don't Miss!"
