The Men Who Control the Weather are a subversive paramilitary dance-rock band. From their headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota they take to the highways of America, seeking to undermine 'the man' and bring truth to the good citizens of our country. Conspiracies, alien abduction, zombies, the end of the world - if it's weird they'll expose it, and they'll do it with style. With roots in punk, experimental and good old fashioned rock and roll music, The Men Who Control the Weather produce a sound like no other. Their tongue-in-cheek, grandiose, visions of impending doom are contrasted by their upbeat, danceable rhythms and their wild attitude. Zany synthesizers conspire with hard rock guitar to create the impression that TMWCTW are creating the soundtrack to a sci-fi flick from the 1950's. We are having our second annual gay prom held out at The Garage which is located at 75 civic center parkway in burnsville mn 55337. We have three amazing dj's performing for the night. DJ Shiek! DJ Eugeniks! And Lady Apples. The prom starts at 6p.m and goes until 11p.m. Events for the night include dance music, picture option available, king and queen to be announced, and the event is formal dress/ but no worries it's not required. EVERYONE IS WELCOME/ And this is an all ages event!!! Cost is 10 dollars at the door or 15 for couples. We hope to see you there!!! SO save the date May 22nd which is a friday!
