Michael Briel	Jan 3 2009 9:37 AM Hehe, I had my doubts initially - Geburt einer Nation is Queen's "One Vision" translated into German, and that was my first Laibach tune - and knowing nothing about the group or anything at all "One Race, one hope one true religion" simply sounds evil in German... You know, the last people here who were talking about "eine Rasse" left a bloody mess al over Europe, and together with the martial beats in their version of the tune it seemed obvious that they had to be a Nazi band - at least I know I'm not alone with this error. ;) But I saw them live in 86 (I believe) on a festival here in Bonn and when they played "Life is Life" the two drummers all of a sudden were wearing blonde wigs and ridiculously huge Viking helmets, and that made me reconsider... XD Since then my sense of humour grew a little darker too, and today I believe I really "get" Laibach. and their music positively rocks. :) I love the guys. :) Eins, zwei, drei, vier - yah!

Michael Briel	Jan 3 2009 1:36 AM Hehe, I'm a little proud - they accepted my clip in their commentaries, so now it's kind of semi-official. :) I know that there's hugely different opinions over what Laibach are and what they want to "say" with their image, I myself am pretty sure that satire and humour is actually quite an important part of it all... I'd love to get the chance to talk with those guys and see if I was right or not some day... ;)
