My name is Karen Lisa, and I love photographing weddings as much as I love attending them! I am inspired by the connections that form all around us.
I make artistic, fashion-inspired, and photojournalistic images. I live in South Florida, where I grew up. I attended the University of Florida where I studied Communications and Anthropology. GO GATORS! :)
I have been taking pictures as long as I can remember. I was inspired by my father, Peter Berlin, who served a tour in Vietnam as a combat photographer with the Army and taught me how to take a picture. My first favorite photographer was Ansel Adams, creator of beautiful black and white landscapes. Now I am inspired by many - most of all, my wonderful clients and my talented friends, who teach me new things every day.
At the age of 19, I met my husband, Adrian, who is also a photographer. Ironically, I had commissioned him to take my portrait. It was love at first sight, and we were married two years later, brought together by our love of creating beautiful images together. We soon started "The Wedding Couple" - making our dream into reality for so many wonderful couples and individuals. Working with my husband imbues a specialness that carries into my work. There is a piece of that dream and the love that we share into every photograph I make.
I'm an active professional member of Florida Professional Photographers, Professional Photographers of America, and Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, and the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). I also regularly attend trade shows, seminars, and other activities to further enhance my craft.
